Chartreuse Mod/Shabby Chic Coffee Table with Storage

26 Feb

Shabby Chic / Mod style coffee table made from a vintage 40s-50s cabinet door.

This table is based on the same design as our reclaimed window coffee tables. The table top is a vintage cabinet door from the 40s-50s. Complete with original brass hardware, lock (non-functioning) and real brass hinges. The glass is very cool textured frosted glass.

Tables base is built from solid 2″x8″ pine boards and very heavy in construction. Interior shelf is made of 1″ x 4″ rough cut cedar planks which alternate and vary in their natural color. 7″ early American style legs were used thread into the base. Also removable should you want to change the style, height or even convert the table into a cabinet.

Finish is a chartreuse semi gloss. Minus the door, all wood is new.chartreuse table 2 chartreuse table 3 chartreuse table 4 chartreuse table 5

More Reclaimed Window Coffee Tables Available

29 Feb

Reclaimed wooden window now used as a coffee table with plenty of storage. Six pane window was salvaged from an early to mid 1900s home in Virginia. I then built a frame out of 2x6s, and used rough cut cedar boards for the bottom. This piece is very sturdy and solid. I try to reuse salvaged materials whenever possible.

Inside is unfinished rough cut cedar, window and base are finished in semi gloss white paint with a distressed finish with the legs stained in a dark brown kona colored stain.

Two of these are currently available in our Etsy shop, one is white, one is turquoise and white.

Size is:
28″ l x 20″ w x 6″ deep x 15″ tall

Both of these will be among the items we’ll have available at the Southampton Academy Antique Show this weekend, March 3-4.

Shabby Chic Cottage Style Coffee Table

24 Feb

Shabby Chic / Cottage / Farm House style coffee table. Top is a reclaimed cabinet door, salvaged from an early 1900s home in Virginia. Door is very solid. Original crackled paint and patina. Not faux paint! This is original patina. The door was finished off with a few coats of clear matte shellac to seal the paint and help prevent chipping.

The base is made from heavy 2×6 boards. Inner shelf is made from rough cut 1×4 cedar boards. The top is hinged and opens up for storage. The base was primed, painted a pale yellow, then white washed with a sunbleached stain. Then distressed and hand waxed.

Currently available in our Etsy shop.

Vintage Mailbox Storage Bins

21 Feb

Set of three different vintage mailboxes, mounted on a piece of reclaimed barn board. Each box is a different style and color. One red cast iron, one white steel and one brown steel. Very old with nice patina. Each one is fully functional with flaps that freely open. This would make a cool decorator piece or a nice way to store bills, mail, etc. You could also add a couple hooks to hang keys on as well. (I may add a couple if I can find the right ones).

Dimensions: 33″ long x approx. 12″ tall

New Window Coffee Table

30 Jan

We’re trying to ensure that each one of these tables is unique and one of a kind. We’ve been getting quite a few requests for these, and the last thing we want to do is bore everyone and ourselves. This one is kinda fancy. The White Diamond. Probably could’ve come up with a better name, but I’m exhausted…Here are the details.

Coffee table made from a pretty rare window with diamond shaped panes which opens up for storage. Each one of these tables is one of a kind. The table itself is made from new 2″ x 6″ studs. Interior shelf is made of rough cut 1″x4″ and 1″x2″ cedar board in contrasting shades to add interest. All reclaimed hardware is used whenever possible, with the exception of new sash locks on both sides. This one features a vintage crystal door knob to make it super classy!

34″l x 18″w x 15″h
