Primitive Wooden Tool Cabinet

23 May

Primitive Tool Cabinet, Distressed red finish with white diamond panels

Handmade primitive wooden storage cabinet. This could be used to store literally anything, but it was originally used as a tool cabinet. This piece was handmade sometime in the 50s-60s and was picked up a while back at an estate sale. Nice and solid, but pretty lightweight. Dark wood interior with a dark brick red distressed finish with white diamond graphics on the doors. Features brass hinges and door handles and slanted front. Interior has a small drawer with dividers and a small removable tray with dividers. Will make a nice storage or display piece for your garage, man cave or bar. Could even be a cool liquor or dart board cabinet.

Dimensions: 25″h x 29″w x 11″d

Bookcase made from Upcycled Crates

14 May

Jessica saw this done recently (probably on Pinterest) and thought it was a really cool idea. I went scouring around at some flea markets recently and found three old wooden crates, different sizes and used them to make this bookcase. The top one has some nice advertising on it for Maze Nails. The bottom one is an old Encyclopedia Americana crate. I attached the three and added a set of casters to the bottom. Makes nice conversation piece and nice way to store books, magazines, nicknacks or pretty much anything….

Vintage Mexican Saltillo Serape Wool Blanket

3 May

This is a smaller size antique wool Mexican saltillo that was made in the 1940s. It is what I would very good to excellent condition. Especially for it’s age.
Colors are very vibrant, there are no holes or stains and has fringe on both ends which is intact. This is a very nice piece – from what I’ve been told, it’s hard to find these with this much use of green, which could make this a very nice piece for a collector. While it has no stains whatsoever, it was a little dusty when I found it. I have not tried to clean at all, so it’s in the original condition as found.

This one is smaller in size 19″ x 39″, perfect for a wall hanging. Still feels very strong and durable. $72 in our Etsy Shop.
