Mixed Media “assemblage” if you will. Not really into fancy art terms — especially if they sound French, but that’s another story. This is a found object piece put together out of various yard sale finds. Centerpiece is a really cool 1950s tin toy gun. The kind that used to shoot sparks back in it’s glory days. Unfortunately, it was no longer functioning so mounted it to a piece of reclaimed tin ceiling tile which came out of an old building in Norfolk. Some one shot enamel paint to add some flair and contained all that past childhood energy in an old frame that was picked up somewhere along the way. Size is 9″ x 8″ –

Vintage PENN 30lb. Hanging Produce Scale
8 AugVintage PENN 30lb produce scale. Recent barn find. Face is in very good condition. Works great. Not sure how accurate it actually is, but it works great and needle moves smoothly. Casing is in solid condition but has patina and some rust but it definitely adds to its charm. Basket, chain and all necessary pieces are all original and intact. Basket is rusty as well (surface rust) but completely solid. Would make a great addition to a country farm kitchen or old general store, etc. Great conversation piece. SOLD
Total height is 26″ when hanging, face is approximately 10″ in diameter.
Vintage Toy Chest
5 AugWe recently found this really cool vintage toy chest. Solid wood in really good shape. Very solid with all hardware, handles, hinges etc. working perfectly and intact. It’s padded and covered in red and white upholstery grade vinyl with piping and brass colored metal studs. The vinyl has some nice patina to it. Not perfect by any means and it’s starting to separate in a few spots at the piping. Still a great find. 27″ w x 16″d x 15″h. sold
Repurposed Wrought Iron Table
2 AugI picked up this piece of rusty gold at an estate sale recently. Really old and really rusty wrought iron folding stand. Not sure of its origin, but its pretty ornate. Flower details on the pivot points where the frame folds up. Was missing whatever used to be the surface. I brought it home gave it a few coats of white paint. I had a left of piece of nice hardwood that I had used recently on a coffee table. You may remember, it’s some kind of exotic hardwood that was used as a pier plank that my dad had planed down about 30 years ago. Sanded it up, stained and sealed it. It fit perfect. This piece would make a cool accent table in the house or a perfect plant stand on your patio. The wood has withstood years and years of abuse so it will last for many more years. $40
